Teaching Assistant

A welcoming and highly supportive specialist primary setting in Warminster is looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. The provision supports pupils aged 6–11 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, creating a nurturing and structured environment where every child is encouraged to grow in confidence and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils aged 6–11 with SEMH needs

• Provide 1:1 and small group support in the classroom

• Assist the teacher in delivering engaging and structured learning activities

• Help pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence, and social skills

• Contribute to a safe, calm, and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

• Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs

• Experience in education, SEN, care, youth work, or support roles is desirable

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A positive and proactive approach to supporting behaviour and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
