About the Role
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am- 3:30pm
Salary: £92.63 - £95 per day
Teaching Personnel is looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class within a welcoming primary school. The role will involve assisting the class teacher in supporting pupils' learning, both within the classroom and through one-to-one support where required. You will play an important role in encouraging positive behaviour, promoting engagement, and helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.

About You
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:
- Patient and resilient
- Empathetic and compassionate
- Experienced working within Key Stage 2
- Confident supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis (experience supporting children with Additional Learning Needs is desirable)
- Passionate about helping children reach their full potential
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
- A current EWC registration
- At least 3 months' experience working within a school setting or a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification
Please note: If you do not currently hold an Enhanced DBS or EWC registration, Teaching Personnel can support you with the application process. The cost of these checks will be your responsibility.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
