Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £92.63 – £95 per day
The Role
Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Early Years classroom within a primary school in the Vale of Glamorgan.
This is a long-term opportunity supporting the class teacher in providing a stimulating, engaging and nurturing learning environment where children can develop socially, emotionally and academically. You will play a key role in encouraging curiosity, creativity and independence through a range of play-based learning activities, helping children build the foundations they need for future success.
Your Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and interactive EYFS learning activities.
- Assist with play-based learning both indoors and outdoors.
- Encourage children's language, communication, literacy and numeracy development.
- Help create a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support children's social, emotional and personal development through positive interactions.
- Prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
- Observe and monitor children's progress, sharing feedback with the class teacher.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents where appropriate.

About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about supporting children in their early years of education.
- Patient, caring and enthusiastic.
- Experienced working with young children, whether in a school, nursery or childcare setting.
- Confident supporting learning through play and child-led activities.
- A positive team player with excellent communication skills.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- An Enhanced DBS Certificate (Child Workforce).
- Current Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration.
If you don't currently have a DBS or EWC registration, Teaching Personnel can support you with both application processes (fees apply).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
