SEN Teaching Assistant – Swindon
Location: Swindon
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner if available)
Contract Type: Full-time, Term Time Only
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you want to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey?

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary/secondary school in Swindon. You’ll be part of a committed team who work together to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to children with SEN

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver tailored learning activities

  • Support pupils in developing their academic, emotional, and social skills

  • Promote an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive

  • Monitor and report on pupil progress to help shape their individual education plans

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)

  • Demonstrates empathy, patience, and strong communication skills

  • Is enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to helping children reach their full potential

  • Holds a relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent), although this is desirable not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
