Teaching Assistant – Carmarthen & Swansea
£14.25 per hour | Monday–Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm | No Weekends
Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of primary and secondary schools in the Carmarthen and Swansea areas. Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or looking to take the next step in your education career, we'd love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils in the classroom, working alongside teachers to create a positive and engaging learning environment. You may be supporting whole-class learning, small group interventions, or providing one-to-one assistance to pupils who require additional support.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting teachers with day-to-day classroom activities
- Assisting pupils with their learning and development
- Providing one-to-one and small group support where required
- Helping to maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- Encouraging pupil engagement and confidence
- Following school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold an Enhanced DBS Certificate on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
- Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or be willing to register
- Have a passion for supporting young people in education
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be reliable, professional, and adaptable
Pay & Hours
- £14.25 per hour
- Monday to Friday
- 8:30am – 3:30pm
- No weekend work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
