Teaching Assistant

We are currently working with a specialist school for those of Secondary age with behavioural difficulties and SEMH needs. The school is searching for a  Teaching Assistant to join their team to support the wider school team.

The Teaching Assistant role would involve working with a pupil on a one-to-one basis to:

• Develop their communication and overall emotional support.
• Create and work to deliver activities to promote the young person’s independence.
• Be a positive role model to the young person.

The ideal Teaching Assistant for this role would someone who has experience of working with people with challenging behaviour or mental health needs, such as those from a school, care, or youth work background.

The school is based in a purpose-built building in Stockport with activities being around the Stockport area. A driver’s license and access to own car is essential for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
