Teaching Personnel are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start in a lovely school in Southampton asap.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
- Required to work throughout different classes within the Foundation Phase
- Supporting the class teacher in all lessons throughout the day
- Support all pupils throughout each lesson - may be required to work alongside smaller groups
- During the lessons you may need to prevent potential disruption that may occur, de-escalating situations and stepping in to remove the pupil from the lesson if needed.
- Establish productive working relationships with the pupil and set expectations.
- To give positive feedback, and praise to reinforce the pupils’ efforts and develop self-esteem.
- Promote the inclusion of pupils and encourage pupils to interact with each other.
The Ideal Candidate will be someone who is;
- Positive, energetic, and patient.
- Has the ability to use their own initiative in challenging situations that may arise.
- Takes the hands-on approach and is always ready to support the pupil and class teacher.
- Able to have the ability to develop strong relationships between the pupil.
- Passionate for working with the special educational need’s environment.
- Able to keep calm under pressure.
- Motivational and has a supportive nature.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
