Location: Shaftesbury
Pay: £12.90 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

About the Role:
We’re currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils (4–11 years) in a vibrant and welcoming school environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to work in education, support children’s development, and make every school day a success for pupils and staff alike.

You will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support in the classroom, whether in group settings or through valuable 1:1 interactions. No two days are the same – your impact will be felt every step of the way.

What You'll Be Doing:
 Supporting class teachers throughout the school day
 Working with pupils individually and in small groups to support learning
 Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
 Using initiative to manage classroom dynamics effectively

What We're Looking For:
 Previous experience working with children aged 4–11
 Able to provide two professional references
 Strong communication skills and the confidence to work collaboratively with staff and students
 Reliable, flexible, and punctual with a proactive mindset
 A positive, “can-do” attitude and a desire to grow professionally

  • Statutory holiday pay (12.07%) is included in all pay rates.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
