Teaching Assistant
Job description
We're looking for a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant who understands that success doesn't always look like a perfect test score. Sometimes it's a child making eye contact, joining a group activity, trying something new, or simply getting through the day with confidence.
This role is about far more than classroom support. It's about building trust, creating opportunities, and helping children discover what they are capable of.
You'll work alongside a passionate team to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence, and feel safe, valued, and understood.
We're looking for someone who:
- Sees potential before they see barriers
- Can build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Brings patience, resilience and a sense of humour to every day
- Understands that no two days – or two children – are ever the same
- Has experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
What you'll gain:
- The chance to make a genuine difference every single day
- A supportive and welcoming school community
- Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- The privilege of being part of some truly remarkable journeys
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
