About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in our passionate, close-knit team. You’ll work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to create a calm, engaging, and structured environment that meets the complex needs of our learners. This is more than a support role – it's a chance to become a trusted adult in a young person’s life.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups, both in and outside of the classroom.

Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs and interests.

Promoting emotional regulation, resilience, and positive relationships.

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver holistic support.

Helping create an inclusive, safe, and inspiring environment for all learners.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking individuals with experience in:

Education settings (mainstream or specialist), or
-
Youth work or mentoring, or
-
Any professional environment supporting children or young people with SEMH or similar additional needs.
You’ll also need:

Patience, empathy, and a sense of humour.

A proactive, team-focused attitude.

A passion for empowering young people to overcome barriers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
