Exciting Opportunity for Aspiring Teaching Assistants in Retford

Role Overview
On behalf of a group of Primary Schools in the Retford area, we are seeking flexible support staff to join as Teaching Assistants across various classes in EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. As a Learning Support Assistant, your role will involve working both one-to-one with individual pupils and supporting whole classes, depending on the needs of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
- 1:1 Support: Assist pupils with special educational needs (SEN) to access the curriculum, help them feel settled, and support their academic progress.
- Whole Class Support: Collaborate with class teachers to set up and deliver classroom activities and manage behaviour effectively.
- Encouragement and Motivation: Help pupils who may be underachieving by boosting their confidence and motivation.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold at least 5 GCSEs at grades A* - C, including English and Maths.
- Have experience working or volunteering in an educational or childcare setting.
- Possess a confident, outgoing, and nurturing personality.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to support the social, emotional, and intellectual development of each pupil.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
