Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Hayes from September 2026.
This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career within education. The successful candidate will initially work through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to secure a permanent contract directly with the school following a successful placement.
The school has a strong community ethos and prides itself on creating a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally. The Role Will Include:
- Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Working closely with teachers to support learning in the classroom
- Providing 1:1 support for students who require additional guidance
- Delivering small group interventions and targeted support
- Encouraging student confidence, engagement, and independence
- Supporting behaviour management in line with school policies
- Assisting students with varying learning needs and abilities
- Promoting student wellbeing and safeguarding at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people in any setting
(schools, tutoring, sports coaching, youth work, mentoring, care or support work) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence supporting secondary-aged students
- A calm, adaptable, and proactive attitude
- Good behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people in education
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
