Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Dorchester, Dorset.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with students and teaching staff to support learning, encourage confidence and help young people achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment across the school.
An ASAP start is available for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will:
- Be positive, patient and approachable
- Have a passion for supporting young people in education
- Work effectively alongside teachers and support staff
- Support students both in and outside the classroom
- Help promote a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with young people or within a school environment would be beneficial, although not essential, as training and support will be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
