Teaching Assistant – Dorchester
Support pupils. Inspire progress. Make a difference.
Pay: £85 – £95 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 (with opportunities for trial days before summer)

Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate individual looking to support young learners in their education journey?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with several welcoming primary and secondary schools in Dorchester, seeking Teaching Assistants to provide vital classroom support across a range of year groups.

Whether you have prior school experience or a background in care, youth work, or education, we want to hear from you.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with their learning in class and in small groups
  • Working closely with teachers to deliver tailored support
  • Helping pupils build confidence, independence, and engagement
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based or other settings)
  • A patient, reliable and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
  • A willingness to learn and grow in the role

What you’ll receive:

  • Competitive daily pay: £85 – £95
  • Full or part-time work to suit your availability
  • Access to CPD and progression pathways into teaching or SEN support
  • Ongoing support from your dedicated consultant – Beth Maxwell

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
