Teaching Assistant – February Start (Training Provided, No Experience Needed but highly desirable)

Salary: £90 per day
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term

Are you passionate about working with children but don’t have school experience? No problem — full training is provided. We are recruiting Teaching Assistants to join a vibrant, diverse and community-focused primary school in the Cathays / Cardiff centrel area.

⭐ About the Role

You will be supporting pupils across Early Years, KS1 or KS2 in an engaging, positive and multicultural environment where:

• Classrooms are lively, welcoming and community-driven
• Staff work collaboratively to support every child’s wellbeing and progress

Your responsibilities may include:

• 1:1 support for pupils who need additional guidance
• Leading or assisting with small-group activities and interventions
• Helping pupils build confidence, independence and good learning habits
• Supporting children with additional learning needs (Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language, Behaviour)

This role is ideal for someone caring, patient and enthusiastic who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Who We’re Looking For

No school experience required — we welcome applicants from backgrounds such as:

• Youth work
• Coaching (sports, dance, martial arts, football, etc.)
• Care work
• Mentoring or tutoring
• Community or volunteering roles
• Working with children in any informal setting

• Right to work in the UK
• Ability to provide 2 references
• If you have lived overseas for an extended period within the last 5 years, you may be required to provide an overseas police/criminal clearance certificate in addition to a UK DBS.
