Cardiff Teaching Assistant, Level 1  

 

Role: Teaching Assistant, 1-2-1  

Location:Cardiff  

Starting: ASAP 

Contract:Temp to Perm 

Training Provided:CPD, Level 2 Safeguarding  

Pay: From £77/day 

 

Teaching Personnel are looking for an engaging Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with Additional Needs in Cardiff. 

 

This role is based in a fantastic, forward-thinking provision for students aged 11 – 18 with Autism and ADHD. The team is made up of several experienced Teaching Assistants overseen by a strong supportive and welcoming senior team. Students who require 1-2-1 benefit from flexible learning including the use of the communal kitchen, garden, sports and arts facilities and visiting therapy animals.  

 

Role and Responsibilities:  

  • Provide emotional, behaviour and academic support to students on a 1-2-1 basis.  

  • Work as part of the TA team to deliver and monitorpupils’ learning plans and discuss new learning methods.  

  • Form a positive relationship with the young people that you support and respond to their individual needs where required. 

  • Liase with parents and carers to provide feedback and updates. 

  • Create a positive and fun learning environment to encourage attendance and participation. 

  • Assist the class teacher with any tasks that need completing, including setting up rooms, delivering small group intervention with support and supervising pupils. 

 

Requirements:  

  • 2 x References  

  • Enhanced Child Only DBS (Update Service) and EWC Registration 

  • Passion for supporting young people and working with Additional Needs 

  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
