Job description

Teaching personnel are currently seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant in the Penzance area. We are looking to place someone in an Early years setting that is a exciting, caring, affectionate and gentle place, The children arrive eagerly each day full of excitement and their families are delighted with how smoothly the setting is run.

Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant

Pay Rate: £90 - £97

Contract: Temporary

Location: Penzance Area

Requirements:

  • GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
  • Experience working with children in an early years setting.
  • Awareness of early childhood development
  • Understand the EYFS.
  • Ability to assist the teacher with classroom activities.
  • Have basic first aid.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain open and positive communication.
  • Be able to support the teacher in lesson/activity planning.
  • Promoting children’s growth and learning
  • Observing children and reporting concerns to the teacher.
  • Support in the preparation, upkeep and organisation of the learning environment.

In order to work for Teaching Personnel and clear our vetting process, you must have a Child Workforce DBS subscribed to the Update Service. Full assistance will be provided should you need to apply for a new check, at a standard cost of £49.50, plus an annual subscription fee of £16 for the Update Service.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
