Position: General Teaching Assistant
Location: Burnley
Salary: £12.90 - £15
Contract Type: Full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm
Start Date: 24th Febuary 2025 (following the half term)

Key Responsibilities

As a General Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work closely with teachers to provide support in the classroom.
• Assist with lesson preparation and resource organisation.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
• Support students with additional needs, ensuring their full participation in lessons.
• Supervise students during break times, school trips, or other activities.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the classroom.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is enthusiastic, patient, and supportive.
• Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enjoys working with children and is committed to their wellbeing and development.
• Is adaptable and willing to take on a variety of tasks.
• Has experience working in a school or similar setting (preferred but not essential).
• Holds relevant qualifications, such as GCSEs in English and Math (or equivalent).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
