Urgent Full-Time 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Bridport
Location: Bridport
Hours: Monday to Friday, full-time
Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Pay: Market-related, dependent on experience
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025 start

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a school environment?
A friendly and supportive primary school in Bridport is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a child requiring tailored support throughout the school day.

The Role:

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with specific learning and/or behavioural needs
• Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to implement and adapt individual learning strategies
• Encourage participation, independence and emotional wellbeing
• Assist with daily classroom activities and transitions
• Help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a 1:1 or SEN capacity is highly desirable
• A calm, patient and empathetic approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to pupil wellbeing
• DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
