Teaching Assistant

Are you seeking a Teaching assistant role in the Blackburn area?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a successful 11-16 Secondary School in Blackburn which are looking to enhance their support team.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with Teachers to meet the personal, social and curriculum needs. This includes pupil who display challenging behaviour in particular. It is vital that the candidate is able to establish positive, supportive and constructive relationships with pupils, parents, carers and the wider community. The support assistant will assist with the planning, delivery and evaluation of the curriculum and differentiation amongst pupils. 

You would be expected to:                     

• Plan and implement teaching and learning activities to individuals and groups  

• Undertake supervisory cover for classes as appropriate.

They are seeking to recruit support staff starting immediately, initially on a temporary basis, however, after looking into staffing structure a permanent position may be made available.
