Teaching Assistant- Full Time- B27, Birmingham- ASAP Start
Hours: Full time, term time only (Mon-Fri, 08:30-15:30)
Rate of pay: £93-95 per day

Teaching assistants play a vital role in the successes of pupil development within schools and actively support the class teacher in assisting pupils further.
Our ideal applicant will:
- Hold a L1, 2 or 3 relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desired not essential)
- Have recent, relevant experience working as a TA
- Have recent, relevant experience working in a supportive/care based role
- Have transferable skills from previous roles
- Be patient, empathetic and have a kind and caring nature
- Have previous experience supporting children and young people
You will be responsible for:
- supporting pupils on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
- showing initiative and supporting pupils with academic and pastoral based support
- helping to prepare resources and set up intervention sessions based on individual needs of the students
- building positive working relationships with both staff and pupils alike, creating a trusting and positive learning space
- promoting positive behaviour and encouraging active participation from all pupils, regardless of ability
- providing tailored support to students with special educational and additional learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
