Immediate & Flexible Working Hours | Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel is working closely with welcoming, inclusive schools in Exmouth who are looking for Teaching Assistants to support pupils who need a little extra help to succeed in the classroom and beyond.

What the Role Looks Like:

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in a child’s school day—offering encouragement, structure, and support where it’s needed most. You’ll work closely with teachers and specialist staff to help pupils feel safe, understood, and ready to learn.

You may support children with:

  • Primary learning needs
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)
  • ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)

No two days are the same, but every day is rewarding.

Key Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP (flexible to suit you)
  • Hours: Flexible working hours
  • Pay: £89–£100 per day (paid weekly via PAYE)
  • Location: Exmouth, Devon

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
  • Helping children stay engaged, calm, and confident in class
  • Adapting activities to suit individual learning styles
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional development
  • Working as part of a caring, supportive school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
