Teaching Assistant | Cardiff | Full Time Opportunities


Teaching Personnel on behalf of our client school in the Cardiff area are looking for Teaching Assistants who have experience in will be predominantly working with children on the autistic spectrum with moderate learning difficulties. You will be required to support children on a 1:1 basis or across small class groups to help children achieve their learning aims and targets.

Naturally you will be engaging and have a want to work with children and watch them reach their full learning potential. Our client school has excellent support structure in place along with fantastic resources to aid with the children's learning. You will be provided with regular support and training to ensure that you are developing further skills as a valued member of staff. As a specialist teaching assistant you will be enthusiastic and caring with the ability to relate to young people. Prior experience working with Special Education Needs is essential and experience working with students with Autism is hugely desired. Team Teach training will be a real bonus too but not essential. Our school pride themselves on their staff being the right fit for the school but more importantly the right fit for the student. Experience in communication systems such as PECS, Makaton or Sign-a-long is beneficial but not essential.

Other Schools in addition to this client school are looking for committed and experienced teaching assistants that are looking to progress within a school environment. Starting in September, these positions will be full time and part time posts with a view for temp to perm for the right applicant.
