Teaching Assistant - Behaviour Support

The Role

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to support behaviour in a mainstream, Primary setting. We are looking for someone who would be happy to support the new behaviour policy in school, working with children on a 121 basis or with small groups. This may include delivering Nurture interventions, or leading sports activities outside/in the hall. You may support the class teacher by working with children to support class activities, taking children out of the classroom when things get too overwhelming or they are struggling with the classroom environment.

Located in South Sheffield, the school has good access to bus and tram routes so owning a car isn't necessary. You will be part of a strong, supportive staff team and will be expected to get involved in school life. 

Our Ideal Teaching Assistant

• Resilient and patient 
• Experience working in a school/PRU/Youth Centre
• Minimum of L2 (or equivalent) with GCSE Maths and English (A-C)
• Able to deliver Nurture interventions 
• Happy to lead sports activities 
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• MAPA/Team Teach Trained would be beneficial
