Teacher with experience of SLCN

A specialist secondary SEN school in Berkshire are looking to recruit a teacher to start as soon as possible. This teacher needs to have clear and great subject knowledge as some of the classes that will be taught will be doing GCSE's. The school also want someone who has experience of working with pupils with Autism and/or Speech and Language and Communication needs.

Personal qualities required:
* Must be able to build effective relationships with difficult children and young people.
* Must be an approachable and caring personality with integrity.
* Must have flexibility, strength of character and resilience.

Main duties and responsibilities:
* To keep up to date and have awareness of current, significant initiatives in education and in the teaching of your subjects.
* To liaise with your line manager to ensure the creation, consistent implementation and improvement of courses and schemes of work so that they are accessible to pupils and provide appropriate challenges for all pupils.
* To differentiate within the classroom to meet the needs of pupils with a wide range of abilities and specific learning difficulties.

The pupils have MLD, Speech and language communication needs & Autism, the pupils are very driven and a lot of support is given in each of the classes. They want someone who will be able to use there own initiative and be able to create interesting and exciting lessons.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
