SEND Teacher – High School
BB9 (Nelson area)
Full-time position
MPS/UPS + SEN allowance (dependent on experience)
Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a real impact? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a specialist SEND high school in the BB9 area, supporting students with a range of additional needs.

The Role
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
- Support pupils with a range of needs including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Create personalised learning plans to meet individual student needs
- Manage behaviour effectively using a positive, trauma-informed approach
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Who We’re Looking For
We are keen to hear from:
- Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
- Teachers with SEND, SEMH or alternative provision experience
- Mainstream teachers looking to transition into SEND education
- ECTs with a strong passion for supporting pupils with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
