SEND Teacher – High School

BB9 (Nelson area)
Full-time position
MPS/UPS + SEN allowance (dependent on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a real impact? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teacher to join a specialist SEND high school in the BB9 area, supporting students with a range of additional needs.

The Role

As a SEND Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Support pupils with a range of needs including SEMH, ASD, ADHD, and learning difficulties
  • Create personalised learning plans to meet individual student needs
  • Manage behaviour effectively using a positive, trauma-informed approach
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external agencies
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Who We’re Looking For

We are keen to hear from:

  • Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS or equivalent)
  • Teachers with SEND, SEMH or alternative provision experience
  • Mainstream teachers looking to transition into SEND education
  • ECTs with a strong passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
