Job description

Long-Term SEN Teacher | Specialist Schools | Portsmouth | Paid to Scale

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking qualified teachers for long-term cover opportunities within specialist schools across Portsmouth.

These term-to-term placements are available in schools supporting pupils with complex SEN, Autism, SEMH needs, and Alternative Provision pathways. We are looking for teachers who are committed to building positive relationships and delivering high-quality education to pupils who require specialist support.

The Opportunity:

  • Long-term placements with the potential for extension
  • Full teaching responsibilities within specialist settings
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and support staff
  • Deliver personalised and engaging learning experiences

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEN, SEMH, ASC, or within Alternative Provision
  • Strong understanding of differentiated learning and behaviour support strategies
  • Patient, resilient, and committed to improving outcomes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
