Are you an experienced science teacher, Early Careers Teacher or due to gain Qualified Teacher Status this Summer?
Teaching personnel are working closely with a large mixed secondary school in Bury to recruit a vibrant and passionate science teacher to join their outstanding science department. This position is set to start in September 2026.
- Full-time teaching position – Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
- Pay in line with the Teacher Pay Scale (M1-UPS3).
- ECT’s highly encouraged to apply.
The successful teacher will have a track record of excellent classroom practice and ability to teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics up to KS4 level. You will deliver engaging practical and theory-based learning resources in line with the National Curriculum. It is required that you engage in the full planning and marking cycle, whilst setting challenging targets to motivate learners and increase attainment in science.
This high school is located in Bury which offers great accessibility to surrounding areas such as Rochdale and Bolton which are only a short drive away. The school is also located a short walk away from a tram stop and other public transport links.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
