Science Teacher (Full-Time) – Secondary School in Alton

Start Date: September 2024
Location: Alton
Contract Type: Full-Time (Initial Term)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Teaching Personnel is excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Alton. This full-time position is set to begin in September 2024 and is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) qualifying this year.

About the Role:

  • Subject Specialism: Science
  • Teaching Range: Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Schedule: 9 Science lessons per 2 weeks
  • Additional Responsibilities: English and general cover to fulfill full-time hours
  • Duration: The position is as described for the first term, with potential for review

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, prepare, and assess students' work to ensure excellent progress.
  • Contribute to the English curriculum and provide general cover as needed.
  • Support the school’s ethos and policies to foster a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Specialization in Science with the ability to teach at Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Flexibility to teach English and provide general cover.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of students.
  • Successful completion of a Safer in Education check.
