Teacher of Science - Darlington

Teaching Personnel are working with a highly regarded mainstream secondary school in the heart of Darlington to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated teacher of science on a temporary basis for 6 months initially.

The school is looking for a highly motivated educator with a passion for Science and will inspire the pupils with engaging and intriguing lessons. If successful, you will be required to teach Science to KS3/KS4 and will be able to support, stretch and challenge students of all abilities.

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
• The ability to teach Science up to Key Stage 4.
• Awareness of relevant legislation relating to child protection.
• Excellent interpersonal skills both in working relationship with young pupils and in forming effective professional relationships with a wide range of contacts.
• Understanding of issues affecting behaviour and barriers to learning.
• Be able to adapt lessons to suit every students individual needs.

The successful candidate will be required to teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics to Key Stage 3 and 4, teaching from the AQA curriculum covering such topics such as Chemical Reactions, plant reproduction, the atmosphere and the roles of cells.
