We are looking to appoint a Teacher of Religious Studies/Education and/or Philosophy and Ethics to join a Multi-Academy Trust School based in the Basingstoke area. This position may offer additional responsibilities where the department falls short, however this is not a necessity, and NQTs will too be considered for this role. Ideally you will be available full time, although the school are willing to consider a teacher on a 0.8 working pattern.
You should be experienced in delivering Religious Studies/Education and/or Philosophy and Ethics to KS3 and KS4. You should also feel confident in your subject knowledge to deliver lessons across multiple exam boards and to a large range of ability of Students.
The School maintains its 'Good' by Ofsted status, owing to its strong team of experienced Teachers who share the Schools values. It is important to the school that you treat all students as individuals and allow them to pursue excellence in their chosen subjects, whilst supporting them throughout any hardships or challenges they may face to their education. You must be passionate about your subject, and the role it plays in the wider society. As well as, being confident in leading open discussions and debates, sensitively where necessary, steering these conversations to educate Students appropriately.
