Teacher of Girls' PE – Maternity Cover
Location: Hampshire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time or part-time (maternity cover, up to 12 months)

A high-achieving and well-regarded secondary school in Hampshire is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Teacher of Girls' Physical Education to join their PE department from September 2025 for a maternity cover period. The role can be full-time or part-time depending on the successful candidate's availability.
The school has an excellent reputation for academic and extracurricular success, and the PE department plays a vital role in school life. The team delivers a rich and varied curriculum and offers an impressive range of sports clubs and activities.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have strong subject knowledge and excellent teaching skills
-
Be committed to raising attainment and engaging all students

Be able to teach high-quality PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
-
Be confident in delivering extracurricular sport – netball or girls’ football experience is particularly desirable

Ideally have the ability to offer a second subject

Be a team player who contributes positively to department planning and innovation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
