The school, based in the heart of Southsea, Portsmouth are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, determined and committed teacher of MFL who can demonstrate they have exceptional Languages skills to pass onto their students. The school, unlike other local secondary schools offers all three modern foreign languages; French, German and Spanish. The successful candidate will need to be able to teach at least two of these languages at both Key Stage 3 and 4.
The school are looking for an ambitious teacher with a minimum of 1 years experience, although welcome applications from exceptional NQTs who can promote of a love of languages and contribute towards accelerating the growth of the department.
The school are looking for someone who:
- Can demonstrate exceptional subject knowledge with a strong ethos of raising attainment and success within the languages department
- Has an excellent track record of teaching and learning demonstrating a high level of skill which enables all learners to access the curriculum
- Is ambitious in their career and has expectations of their students and own performance as a teacher
- Is well qualified with UK QTS and a related degree 2.1 or above
- Is able to support the continual professional development of colleagues making contributions on inset days
