Join Teaching Personnel as a Teacher of ICT (Computer Science Preferred)

Location: Newport, South Wales
Full-Time | Initial Term via Teaching Personnel with Permanent School Contract to Follow

Salary: Paid to scale in line with MPS.

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and experienced Teacher of ICT to join a secondary school in Newport. This is a full-time position, initially for one term via Teaching Personnel, with a planned transition to a permanent school contract following successful completion of the initial term.

About the Role:

This opportunity sits within a thriving ICT & Business department that offers a comprehensive curriculum across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You’ll deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that equip students with digital skills for the future. The ability to teach Computer Science is highly desirable.

‍ What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in ICT, with strong subject knowledge and up-to-date digital pedagogy
  • Preferably able to teach Computer Science across the key stages
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A commitment to student achievement, wellbeing, and inclusion
  • A proactive, reflective approach to professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
