Are you a highly skilled and experienced teacher, currently seeking a new role within Education to start in September?
Teaching Personnel Permanent Workforce are currently working alongside several Secondary schools across Newcastle and Northumberland, who are seeking KS4 and KS5 Humanities Teachers to join their team from January 2024, on a temporary basis.
Job Salary: £28,000 - £46,500 per annum
The main duties of this role:
- You will be required to teach Humanities, Key Stages 4 and 5
- Liase frequently with the Head of Department to discuss new ways to expand and develop the Curriculum
- Offer evening classes or in depth 1-to-1 lessons with students where needed
- Work alongside the Teaching Assistant(s) on site to offer a higher learning potential for the students
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience teaching Humanities at Secondary and ideally Sixth Form Level.
- Have a recognised Teaching Qualification, or a willingness to work towards one (PTLLS, PGCE, Cert Ed or Equivalent). This may affect Salary expectations
- Have a relevant qualification in the Subject area (Bachelors minimum ideally)
- A valid DBS Registered on the Update Service, or wiling to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
