Teacher of Humanities - Cardiff
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Cardiff School to find a Humanities Teacher for the start of the new academic year. The successful Teacher would ideally specialise in Geography and the ability to teach across RE or History is beneficial as there may be occasions when cover may be necessary.
The Head of Humanities has expressed an interest in a particularly confident and motivated teacher who can teach Geography across the curriculum to students in Year 7 up to Year 11. As a Humanities Teacher you will be comfortable dealing with challenging behaviour and have the ability to work with pupils of all ability levels.
The school:
- 'EXCELLENT' Estyn Report
- Pupil ages between 11-19
- Community based school
- MLD integration within the school
- Easy transport links situated less than 10 mins from M4
The successful Humanities Teacher:
- Have a good understanding of the curriculum
- The suitable candidate will have strong subject knowledge as this role does require detailed awareness of the national curriculum
- Registered with the Education Workforce Council
- Positive record of student development, subject knowledge and classroom behaviour management skills are essential
- Temporary position with the possible view to being permanent
At Teaching Personnel we have worked with schools in South Wales for over 10 years. It has always been in our best interest to ensure both the schools and the candidates have the pupils educations as their main priority. Because of this our registration process enables us to put the right candidates into our partner schools.
The successful Humanities teacher should have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), be eligible for an enhanced DBS check or already have one in place and be able to offer school based references (teaching placements accepted).
If you are a dynamic Humanities Teacher that can raise attainment and also use multiple teaching methods to connect with disengaged pupils as well as supporting more talented individuals then do not hesitate to send your CV across.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
