Teacher of Geography – Secondary School – Basingstoke – Permanent Position – January 2026 Start

Are you a passionate Geography specialist ready to inspire the next generation of learners?
A vibrant and supportive secondary school in Basingstoke is looking for a dedicated Teacher of Geography to join their Humanities team on a permanent basis from January 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can bring Geography to life across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, engaging students through creative lessons that spark curiosity about the world around them. You don’t need to be a qualified teacher — applications are welcomed from subject specialists, experienced educators, and early career teachers who can confidently plan, teach, and mark Geography lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare, and mark work to ensure all students make excellent progress
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Humanities department
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, effort, and achievement

About You:

  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography (degree-level or equivalent)
  • Confident in classroom delivery and student engagement
  • Organised, adaptable, and committed to high-quality teaching
  • Open to both qualified and unqualified teachers with Geography expertise
