Teacher of Geography KS3-5 needed for 'Good' School in Chichester. Full Time, Start Date: September 2019, or sooner if available.

Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a proactive and inspirational classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge to join our successful partner Schools Humanities Department as a designated Geography Teacher. The School present an exciting opportunity to be a key member of their growing School and department. The Department and team itself is hard working and friendly, and the successful Candidate will join them to further develop their curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and co-curricular provision.

The School are judged to be 'Good' in all areas, and boasts strong GCSE results year-on-year in all Departments. The School is based on newly, purpose built, grounds on the site of an old convent. This site provides state of the art facilities and equipment, best equipping its Staff to do the job in hand. The School is close to the Cathedral City of Chichester, and enjoys excellent transport links by rail and car. The School was set up under the Free School model, and takes children aged 4-16. Its newly formed Sixth Form opened at the beginning of this academic year and is due to expand in the coming years.

As a Teacher of Geography, you will be enthusiastic and reflective with a commitment to continuous development and the highest quality of teaching and learning both in and out of the classroom. You will be committed to facilitating excellent progress for every pupil. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with an ability to develop quality relationships with students, parents and staff are important elements of the role. As part of its newly establised Sixth Form the Candidate should be able or willing to teach up to KS5. Whilst class groups will be small in the first instance, expertise in this area are desirable.

The School are looking for a suitably qualified practitioner, who is committed to their values and ideals, where the co-curricular life of the school is as vital as the rigour of the taught curriculum. There may be the opportunity of taking on additional responsibilities, and therefore a TLR, for suitably qualified candidates.
