Salary: M1 £32,916 – M6 £45,350 per annum

Contract Type: Full-Time – Temp to Perm
Overview:
We are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join a specialist secondary provision in Blackburn from September. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to move onto a permanent contract.
The setting supports students with additional needs, offering a structured and supportive environment focused on building confidence, engagement, and academic progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Adapt teaching methods to support a range of learning abilities and needs
- Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress
- Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English at secondary level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students with additional needs
- Passion for supporting student development both academically and personally
