The School which is based in the Cathedral City of Chichester close to the Coast, is looking to appoint a Teacher of English to join them in September on a full time, permanent basis. The School are looking to enhance their provision of English across their Secondary phase and in order to achieve this, they need an ambitious Teacher who is passionate about teaching, learning and English Literature and English Language.

The School is developing its KS5 provision, under its newly opened Sixth Form. At KS3 and KS4 the School continues to exceed national expectations, and perform far above Schools ion the local area. Despite these successes, they strive for improvement and a reflective, collaborative and dynamic approach is key to the Department's ethos. With this in mind, they would be looking to appoint an ambitious and inspirational Teacher who is an outstanding team-player and who thrives on new challenges. The Department enjoys clear and strong leadership, from a supportive Head of Department.

The School are equally interested in considering NQTs, and more experienced Teachers who are:

  • Ambitious in their career; the School are looking for Teachers who can take on additional responsibilities in the near future
  • Able to demonstrate an excellent track record of teaching and learning in their subject
  • Expert in English Language and Literature with a willingness to support KS2/3 Literacy transition, as well as up to KS5
  • An enthusiastic individual with a good sense of humour; this is something particularly important to the department
  • An effective communicator, sensitive to the needs of their Students
  • Passionate about their professional development and supporting colleagues in the same vein

If you are a Teacher of English with the necessary ambitions and passion for your Subject, please submit your application ASAP. Interviews will be arranged on application and the advert will remain live until the most suitable candidate is found.
