About the Role
Our client, a vibrant and inclusive all-through school and sixth form in Ilford, is seeking a passionate and forward-thinking Teacher of Economics and Business Studies to join their successful team in September 2025. This role is open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs), experienced practitioners, and talented unqualified teachers with a strong academic background and relevant industry knowledge.
This is an excellent opportunity to teach at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 in a supportive school that promotes high aspirations, academic rigour, and outstanding outcomes for students.
Main Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and high-quality Economics and Business lessons at KS4 and KS5

Inspire students with real-world applications and contemporary business and economic issues

Monitor and support student progress through effective assessment and feedback

Contribute to curriculum planning, resource creation, and department development

Support the school’s vision of inclusive, values-based education
-
Play a pastoral role as a form tutor and contribute to wider school life

Participate actively in staff training and professional development
What They Are Looking For
The successful candidate will:
-
Hold QTS (or be on track to achieve it), or have relevant teaching experience and a strong academic/business background
-
Have a degree in Economics, Business, or a related subject
-
Be able to teach Economics and/or Business confidently at KS4 and KS5
-
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for economic and commercial education

Be reflective, committed to continuous improvement, and keen to take part in CPD
-
Possess excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills

Be able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
