Teacher – Primary & Secondary (SEMH)

Permanent | Full Time
£32,916 – £49,232 (M1–UPS2) – dependent on experience & qualifications

About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled classroom teachers (primary and/or secondary) who are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people.
As a Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning, tailored to meet individual needs, while working closely with a multi‑disciplinary team to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
- Set personalised learning targets and monitor pupil progress
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers and senior leaders
- Lead or contribute to a subject or curriculum area
- Manage and supervise classroom support staff
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality, and health & safety policies
✅ Skills & Qualifications
Essential:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching a thematic curriculum (primary or secondary)
- Experience within special school settings, particularly SEMH and SEND
- Strong understanding of the national curriculum
- Proven ability to differentiate learning to meet diverse needs
- Working knowledge of ASC and SEMH, including complex presentations
Desirable:
- Additional SEND qualifications
- Experience contributing to curriculum development for SEND learners
- A nurturing, empathetic approach to relationship‑building
Additional Information
- Closing date: Thursday 7th May at 12pm
- Interviews: Wednesday 13th May (venue TBC)
- Support is available for progression onto the Upper Pay Scale, subject to experience and responsibility

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
