Inspire and Support Young People with Autism
Join a welcoming specialist setting in a beautiful New Forest location, supporting learners with severe autism, Asperger’s profiles and complex needs. This full-time teaching role offers an immediate start within a highly supportive, small-class environment where every lesson truly makes a difference.
You will teach secondary-aged learners in classes supported by experienced Teaching Assistants. Lessons are carefully adapted, creative and structured to meet individual needs. You will work collaboratively with therapists, support staff and leaders to deliver engaging learning and help students develop communication, independence and emotional regulation.
Key duties:

Plan and deliver motivating, differentiated lessons

Create structured learning routines and medium-term plans

Support students with autism through personalised approaches

Contribute to behaviour support strategies

Take responsibility for a subject area

Work within a multi-disciplinary team

Track progress and maintain accurate records
Candidate Requirements
-
Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience, especially with SEN
-
Driving licence essential due to location
-
Organised, creative and proactive approach
-
Confident managing behaviour positively
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
Open to ECTs as well as experienced teachers
Additional Information

37 hours per week, 41 working weeks per year

Salary up to £39,600 DOE

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
