SEN Teacher – Full-Time Position (Immediate or January Start)

Location: Lymington area
Hours: 8.20am to 4pm 
Age Group: 11–16

This is a full-time position with an immediate or January start, working with secondary-aged students (11–16) who have severe autism and Asperger’s.

Your Responsibilities

As an SEN Teacher, your role will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students with autism and Asperger’s
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Implementing strategies to encourage participation and progress
  • Supporting students in developing resilience, confidence, and independence
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to ensure consistent support

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, ideally supporting children with SEN needs
  • A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to teaching
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence – due to the rural location, driving is essential
