Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a SEND Teacher, experienced in supporting students with Autism for a SEND School in Darlington. The role is due to commence in the new academic year for at least one term with the possibility of being extended for the whole academic year. You will be required to teach across KS3 and KS4 across a range of subjects and class abilities.

Applicants must have experience of teaching children with complex ASC and be confident managing challenging behaviours. Additional qualifications such as Team Teach are desired but not mandatory. We would also welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers or mainstream teachers looking to experience teaching within SEND settings.  

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 6 months teaching experience teaching and experience of working with students with ASC
  • Up to date Team Teach and a good understanding of SEND
  • Adaptable across subjects and a good Primary curriculum knowledge
  • Qualified Teacher status with a good understanding of differentiation and behaviour management
  • Patient and nurturing mannerisms

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
