TA3 – EYFS/KS1 Teaching Assistant
A Primary School in Burnley is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant who is Level 3 qualified. The Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification enables you to support children, as well as covering whole class lessons.
Start date: Tuesday 22nd April 2025
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
Pay: £13.50 - £15 per hour
Your roles and responsibilities:
- To build positive relationships with the children and staff.
- To support children’s SEMH development (social, emotional and mental health).
- To help the teacher identify gaps in children’s learning.
- To plan and deliver interventions to children with additional needs.
- To deliver whole class sessions when covering PPA or Teacher absences.
- To help create a fun, safe and stimulating learning environment.

You will need:
- To have a good understanding of the EYFS Framework and KS1 National Curriculum.
- A DBS on the update service.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a Primary School.
- Previous experience of covering whole class sessions.
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding.
- A minimum of Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
