TA required to support student with behavioural difficulties

Our client school in the Burnley area have asked us to source a Teaching Assistant ASAP.

The school caters for pupils aged 9-16 with Social, Emotional, Mental Health, Behavioural Difficulties, ASC and ADHD.

The working day will be from 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time, until Summer, with a view to becoming permanent.

The Head Teacher is interested in candidates who have worked in a PRU / Alternative Provision, worked alongside Young Offenders, Sports Coaches, those who have worked with NEETs, those with an Army background, those who have worked in prisons and MORE! (Please note: You don't have to have direct experience in a school, but you MUST have the skill set and knowledge to handle challenging behaviour appropriately and the understanding of pupils who have mental health difficulties.)

The pupils require nurture, care and guidance from an appropriate mentor / support assistant. You must be 'thick-skinned,' energetic, empathetic and non-judgemental with a can-do attitude.

The school would like to meet candidates who have an interest, a passion, the determination, drive and personality to support their pupils ASAP!

You MUST be willing to work in the school on a supply basis initially. If you aren't successful in your pursuit of this role, we also have opportunities in Kirkham, Blackburn, Chorley and Preston therefore a willingness / the ability to travel to these areas would be beneficial. Candidates who drive are also highly sought after.
