TA required in Kirkham ASAP!

An independent specialist day and residential school for boys and girls aged 4 to 11 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs and challenging behaviour, are seeking a TA.

The school's aim is to bring out the best in every young person to enable them to achieve positive experiences and progress according to their own individual abilities. The desired outcome is for young people to achieve success in accredited qualifications and to gain increased levels of independence to enable them to maximise their strengths, abilities and ambitions.

The successful candidate will undertake education support duties and assist the class teacher in the day to day needs of the pupils in their care, to enable the teacher to implement the curriculum and respond to the pupils' needs. To maintain complete confidentiality on all site matters. The successful candidate will have an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Experience working with children with ASC is essential.

You will ideally have your own vehicle but this is not essential.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
