We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join a vibrant SEN school in Ringwood. This school is committed to providing a supportive and tailored educational experience for students with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, and physical impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students, helping them engage with their learning.
  • Assist with personal care needs, ensuring students are comfortable and well-supported throughout the school day.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Support students during break times, extracurricular activities, and outings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs is essential.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with students who have diverse needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or social care are desirable but not essential.
