Teaching Personnel are working alongside a secondary specialist provision based in the Brighton & Hove area. The school are in need of experienced educators who have previous experience with challenging behaviours and who are able to start come September. The chosen educators will be working alongside the secondary pupils at the school on a small group basis as well as building strong relationships with the pupils.

About the role:

The school are looking for support workers who are able to work alongside their secondary pupils, the pupils have SEMH. You will be expected to build relationships with the pupils as well as encouraging them to attend class – whilst de-escalating any challenging behaviour.  

About the school:

The specialist secondary provision which as mentioned above is based in Brighton cater for secondary aged pupils (11-16 years of age). The pupils all come from mainstream schools but due to their behaviour now require additional support in a SEN school setting. The school are able to support the pupils and their needs due to having experienced staff as well as therapeutic support.

Additional Information:

  • Pay - £385-£400 a week.
  • Hours – 8:30am – 15:30pm
  • Full – Time (Monday – Friday)
  • Travel – Bus, Train, Car.
  • DBS –Must be willing to apply for a child only DBS.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
